My stellastarr* playlist on iTunes. Just wondering if I'm missing any songs that are available for download/purchase. I know I haven't got 'Damage Control' yet, but i'm looking into that :)

Note: The date for originally adding the debut album is so late because my iPod crashed and I had to re-add every album I own back onto it :(

i'm missing the XFM live sessions, the Sweet Troubled Soul EP tracks, Precious Games (which isn't on my UK copy of the album) and She's Gone.

I have the single for She's Gone though just need to get it onto my PC.

Whats the difference between the No Weather track on the Somewhere Across Forever single and the one on the album, i have the single but didnt know the tracks were different. :p

To me the guitars sound a lot more high pitched in the original, and Shawn's voice sounds totally different.

It's probably just the production, but I prefer the one that made it to the album more.

I have the U.S. version of the album and a couple of other track I got through the board. I'm willing to e-mail songs to people who need them for their collection, and would love it if we could trade (rather than me just giving, but that works too).

Just to be clear, Live (non album) tracks are not illegal to download.

there are (or were) mp3s of acoustic versions of In The Walls and Untitled from a radio session flaoting around back around the time the first album was released in the UK.
If anyone wants them (the version of In The Walls is slightly different to the version on the My Coco single) I can try to find whether I've still got them.

So that means no trades either? Because stellastarr* wouldn't get royalties and then our favorite band would be crushed to smitherenes... What if we paypal/mailed them two dollars/whatever-that-works-out-to-be-in-pounds for each song we trade that isn't live?

basically we should stay under the radar but its good to get the word out on the band, i actually gotten someone really hooked on the band by sharing em pee threes with them, then she went out and bought the cd to support the band

I think that's what most people do, download a few Mp3's, and if they like them, buy the album. Evil people just download the whole album through filesharing. And you can always go to the bands site to listen to songs too, almost all of them have some of their songs playing in the backround.

my theory... if i had a band, and i would want as many people as possible to hear my music and if they got a hold of my music thru file sharing and really liked it and become a real fan. they would try to go to the shows and buy a cd to support the group.
if someone dl'd the music and never buy the cd and never became a fan, then nothing was lost but there was a chance to reach another person who might never hear ur music thru the usual channels of media distribution

This week I got 4 of my friends into stellastarr* who've never heard of the band before, through dragging them to the gigs and telling them to download some songs/buy the single.
so filesharing works as long people remember that you have to go out and actually buy the records if you like the band.

I have the US HFTH and it's not on it. Don't know about the U.K. one(is there a U.K. one???).
