Day #1
We started yesterday with a song called 'Underneath the Knife'. It's up-tempo, kind of lighter than the rest of the record, kind of 'under the radar, snuck up and made onto the album' type track. Sounds really good, but what do I know after twelve hours in the studio?
The studio is pretty solid, smallish, deep in the heart of Queens. I like it. But no cell phone service or daylight, so I feel like a hermit. Time passes by quickly and quietly. The rest of the band have things going on during the days this week, so it's just me and Tim O'Heir. And we have no idea what's going on in the world except for a couple peeks on the internet.
Very dark in this studio, too. Might be turning into a Vampire, but won't for sure know until Wednesday.
